The world-famous Soul Stirrers, one of the most influential gospel groups in music history, proudly announce the launch of their 100 Years of Gospel Centennial Celebration, officially beginning January 1, 2026, and continuing throughout the year with global performances, special events, star-studded galas, and historic milestones.

An official documentary highlighting this momentous occasion is highly anticipated, offering fans and supporters an in-depth look at the group’s history, legacy, and the exciting centennial events.

A LEGACY THAT STARTED IT ALL

Founded in 1926, The Soul Stirrers are widely recognized as pioneers of modern quartet gospel music. Their groundbreaking vocal arrangements, spiritual depth, and emotional delivery shaped generations of gospel, soul, and popular music. From the early trailblazing years to the legendary era of the Crume Brothers, the Soul Stirrers established a sound that became the blueprint for gospel quartets worldwide.

The Crume Brothers’ era cemented the group’s reputation for excellence, innovation, and spiritual authority—standards that continue to define the Soul Stirrers’ name today.

THE MODERN ERA: HONORING THE PAST, LEADING THE FUTURE

Now under the musical production and leadership of Jeffery Moore, a 15-year veteran of the world-famous Soul Stirrers and a protégé of the late Arthur Crume, the group enters its centennial year with renewed strength and vision. Jeffery Moore, who affectionately refers to Arthur Crume as “like a father,” is uniquely positioned to carry the mantle forward with authenticity, reverence, and excellence.

Produced in partnership with Ruff Moore Media, the Soul Stirrers’ current lineup includes veteran members Justin Morris, Jr., whose voice has often been compared to the legendary Sam Cooke, and the powerful, soul-stirring vocals of Jackie Lee Heard—both of whom previously performed alongside the iconic Crume Brothers.
